Assistant Professor Latinx Literature
General Summary of Position:
The English Department at the University of Massachusetts Lowell invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Latinx Literature. We are particularly interested in candidates whose scholarship is informed by comparative transnational approaches such as Literature and Culture of the Americas, Diaspora Studies, or Hemispheric American Studies.
The UMass Lowell English Department is a dynamic, growing program with approximately 400 undergraduate majors across five concentrations. The successful candidate will teach surveys of American, Ethnic American, and/or World literatures; the introduction to the major; and intermediate- and upper-level courses in Latinx literatures. The teaching load is 3/2 or 2/2 based on levels of research productivity, and all tenure track faculty are eligible for a pre-tenure sabbatical.

Minimum Qualifications (Required):
Ph.D. in English or related field required by start date of September 1, 2018
