The Department of Economics at the University of Florida invites applications for a Lecturer in the field of public economics to begin August 16, 2018. The position is a nine-month, non-tenure accruing appointment with the possibility of renewal and an opportunity for advancement in UF’s lecturer track.
The candidate should have a commitment to undergraduate teaching and possess excellent teaching credentials. Demonstrated success with economics research is desirable. Applicants must have his or her Ph.D. completed by August 2018, and will be expected to undertake undergraduate teaching and advising. The teaching assignment will be three courses per semester, and the Department Chair will make efforts to reduce the number of course preparations. The position is not tenure-track, but the contract is renewable. The University has a career track for lecturers with the possibility of promotion to Senior Lecturer and Master Lecturer.
