ADJUNCT FACULTY IN FIRST-YEAR WRITING AND COMMUNICATION STUDIOS
The Department of English and Humanities is seeking qualified adjunct faculty to teach WRT103: Writing Studio. WRT103 is a co-requisite course for students who have a demonstrated need for more sustained support to be successful communicators and is integrated into the FCO105 curriculum. The typical section enrolls six students and counts as one credit. Faculty teaching the course typically teach three sections at a time to equal one 3-credit course. The program is interested in hiring faculty who have experience teaching developmental writing and supporting first-year students as well as have experience teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) students in a developmental writing context.
A successful candidate will have a Master’s degree or higher in Composition and Rhetoric, English, Communications, or Education as well as teaching experience at the college level in a first-year writing or communication studies classroom.
Interested candidates should electronically submit a letter of application and a curriculum vitae including contact information for three references.
Review of applications will begin immediately. While applications will be accepted until the position is filled, for full consideration, applications should be received by January 15, 2018.
