Job Summary

The position duties include: Document creation; data entry; maintaining department files: including photocopying and filing; inventory; distribution of documents and reports campus-wide; various computer projects using Microsoft Office; stocking office and department supplies and forms; keeping the department and FTLC area organized; and miscellaneous support functions for the FTLC.

Work MAY include assisting with faculty inquires, making phone calls and emailing; periods of extended computer use; or safely moving items less than 25 pounds.

Other duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications

Must be awarded 2017-2018 work-study funds through financial aid.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Customer Service Skills:
Greet all who come into the department in a friendly and professional manner.
Computer and Office Skills:
Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
Handling mail and intercampus mail.
Ability to process supply lists, mailings, and purchases.
Accurately file documents.


Preferred Qualifications

Prefer office/clerical experience, with excellent organizational and time management skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Internet capabilities.
Detail oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
Ability to productively work alone and perform duties with limited supervision. Flexibility to move among differing and ongoing projects on a daily basis as directed by faculty traffic and the needs of the Academic Affairs department.
