Job Summary

Assist facilitation of a school readiness childcare program for students from 6 months to 5 years old to carry out the mission and vision of both the organization and program.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & PRIMARY TASKS:
Responsibilities include:
• Direct instruction to small groups of students
• Play based instruction for younger children
• One on one work with students needing extra help academically or behaviorally
• Participation in large group activities with the whole group.
• This job description is not all-inclusive and can be modified verbally or in writing by the employee's supervisor

2016/2017 OBJECTIVES:
Assist the program in increasing student's English language skills and school readiness skills by 50% each trimester.


Minimum Qualifications

Must enjoy young learners! Good stress management habits. Physical ability to lift young children, move and play on feet and sit on the floor. Good social and listening skills. Strong work ethic and desire to empower the population served by the Global Refugee Center.


Preferred Qualifications

Desired Qualifications: Pursuit of early education or related degree. Prior experience working with children

At least two days a week for one of the classes
