Job Summary

This position will give a student worker the opportunity to learn how an academic department works, to practice using some educational technologies, and to continue to develop and polish his or her professional communication skills. This position will have an opportunity to participate behind the scenes at an academic conference, to work with a variety of faculty members, and to assist with some student events.

Duties:
• Assist with various departmental office tasks such as light correspondence, copying, filing, organizing, etc.
• Help with event planning/implementation
• Organize electronic teaching resources
• Other duties as determined


Minimum Qualifications

Required/Preferred Qualifications:
• Superior attention to detail
• Exceptional written and verbal skills
• Proficient in MS Word and Excel
• Ability to use or learn how to use email newsletter applications
• Ability to use or learn how to use Google Docs
• Can navigate D2L (Aims Online)

10-15 hours per week
