Job Summary

Teach CPR and First Aid classes in accordance with American Heart Association (AHA) standards.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Teach CPR and First Aid classes at the Windsor Campus and occasionally at various outreach sites to include evenings and weekends.
• Provide effective and high quality instruction in compliance with AHA standards and college requirements.
• Instruct small group sessions to demonstrate skills and coach student skills performance in compliance with student-faculty ratios.
• Follow college, department, and AHA procedures for student evaluation and grading.
• Evaluate student performance and document student skill proficiencies. (Evaluation occurs both informally through skills check-off activities and formally in skills evaluation sessions.)
• Assist the EMS coordinator with the maintenance and coordination of EMS equipment used for instruction on and off campus.
• Set up and tear down the classroom.
• Clean equipment and replace used parts.
• Submit required paperwork to the Training Center Coordinator in a timely manner.


Minimum Qualifications

• AHA Basic Life Support Instructor certification
