Job Summary

This exercise professional assumes responsibility for teaching all aspects of the accompanying Mind and Body activity class assigned:

-Hip Hop Dance I / II
-Country Swing I / II
-Jazz I
-Ballroom Dance I / II
-Belly Dance I / II

1. Instruct high-quality Dance instruction classes to Aims Community College students and staff as scheduled.
2. Demonstrate willingness to embrace and apply the provisions of the College's mission statement, purpose, philosophy and commitment to diversity.
3. Explain and demonstrate technique.
4. Offer modifications for multiple skill levels.
5. Monitor and assist class participants.
6. Instruct for proper motion and stop any unsafe actions.
7. Answers questions about the class.
8. Demonstrate strong communications skills.
9. Demonstrate strong leadership and organizational skills.
10. Prioritize the safety and well being of all class participants.
11. Properly respond to risk management issues.
12. Report and document all emergency and injury situations.

Lifting/Moving Level: Medium
Rarely: up to 50lbs
Frequently: up tot 20 lbs and or
Constantly: up to 10lbs

Minimum Qualifications

1. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a part/full-time basis.
2. CPR (cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) / First Aid certification.
3. AED (Automated External Defibrillator) certification.
4. 6+ continuing education credits or related experience.
5. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
6. Confident and knowledgeable about the course subject matter and technique.
7. Meet Aims Community College requirements for part-time faculty credentials.
8. Maintain a National Certification by an accredited course or instruction related organization.
