Job Summary

Provides academic support through direct and/or indirect curriculum instruction based on an enrolled individual student's academic need in one-to-one, drop-in, group situations.

- Provides tutoring with limited supervision
- Provides tutorial support for classroom instruction, online classes, and self-paced courses
- Communicates with subject area faculty and tutor supervisor
- Promotes student and/or faculty use of instructional support resources
- Guides student on how to develop good study skills and test-taking skills


Minimum Qualifications

-Documented two year degree from a regionally accredited institution or its equivalent (junior level status at a college or university)
- Interview plus written approval of a content/skill instructor and/or interview plus endorsement of tutor trainer/supervisor
-Strong interpersonal and communication skills with students and colleagues.
