Job Summary

Student responsibilities will include general office duties where you will gain valuable experience working on computers, speaking with prospective and participating students in the Impact Programs office and working closely with professional staff to provide academic support and programming to all program students.

A. Responsibilities/Tasks
1. Provide front desk coverage and customer service as needed
2. Manage Google Calendars/Schedule appointments
3. Answer and make phone calls
4. Provide information about programs to walk-ins
5. Assist students using computers in the lab or tutoring space

B. Administrative duties
1. Filing/alphabetizing
2. Refill paper in printers
3. Label making/Prepare mailings
4. Scanning/Copying
5. Assemble marketing/recruiting materials
6. Data entry into Student Access
7. Word processing and design with MS Office Word, Excel, Publisher
8. Cleaning: organizing and sanitizing office furniture and electronics

C. Assist staff with special projects as needed

D. Assist staff with creating/launching student engagement activities
1. Proactively obtain giveaways
2. Assist with Fall Welcome for Emerging Scholars and Impact Programs

Minimum Qualifications

a. Strong written and verbal interpersonal communication skills

e. Awarded Federal Work-Study funds
f. Have completed at least 12 College-Level credits at Aims Community College
g. Must be enrolled in a minimum of six credit hours for the Fall 2017 and Spring 2018 term
