Postdoctoral Research Associate
The Boulanger Lab at the Princeton Neuroscience Institute is looking for a highly motivated candidate for a fully-funded postdoctoral position, appointed at the rank of Postdoctoral Research Associate or more senior. The lab studies how immune proteins and cells participate in brain development and plasticity, and how brain-immune interactions contribute to developmental and degenerative disorders of the nervous system (https://boulangerlab.princeton.edu/). We are currently seeking an exceptionally talented candidate with a strong background in neuroscience and/or immunology and expertise in cellular and molecular techniques. The successful applicant will be an energetic, organized, self-directed learner with superior oral and written communication skills, and a desire to learn, troubleshoot, and design new experimental approaches. He/She will also have: *Proven independent research experience, culminating in a Ph.D. in the life sciences (required), and one or more first-author publications. *Skill in biochemical, immunocytochemical, and molecular biological techniques (e.g. molecular cloning, protein/DNA/RNA analysis, cell culture, and histological analysis of tissue samples). *The ideal candidate will also have experience with mouse dissection, confocal microscopy, and electrophysiology, but training in these areas will be available as needed.
