Vice President for Business and Finance and Treasurer

Rollins College invites nominations and applications for the position of Vice President for Business and Finance and Treasurer.

Reporting to President Grant Cornwell, the Vice President for Business and Finance and Treasurer (VPBF) has seven direct reports, serves as the chief financial and operating officer of the College and has oversight of Finance and Accounting; Controller and Bursar; Auxiliary and Business Services; Human Resources, Payroll and Risk Management; Campus Safety; Environmental Health and Safety; Facilities Management; Information Technology; and Commercial and Residential Property Management. The VPBF manages the College’s budget as well as the $367-million endowment. In 2017, annual operating revenue was $140.9 million net of $42.5 million in financial aid.  Additionally, Rollins has $150 million in income-producing real estate holdings, for which the VPBF has oversight responsibility. The new VPBF will oversee the campus master plan and will work closely with the Board of Trustees’ Executive, Audit, Finance, Investment, Risk, and Buildings and Grounds Committees. With the recent completion of a new strategic plan, the VPBF will play a key role in implementing strategic priorities and managing the related finances.

The successful candidate will have outstanding financial and administrative management skills, a record of building and leading diverse teams, and demonstrated commitment to the advancement of liberal education as well as graduate and continuing education programs. S/he will have a track record of communicating effectively with a range of internal and external constituencies and clear enthusiasm to be an active participant in a thriving academic community. The next VPBF will have the opportunity to manage a diverse portfolio that includes unique revenue-producing assets as well as major capital projects that are currently underway and on the horizon.
