The Director of Sports Information is responsible for all aspects of media and sports information relating to the college's intercollegiate sports; promotes the athletic program to students, parents, alumnae, faculty, media and other constituencies; and complies and maintains participation records for athletes.

Essential Functions:

1) Coordinate the internal and external communications of the athletics department.
2) Promote Mount Ida College athletics, teams and athletes in local, regional and national media as well as to other public audiences via print, radio, TV and other electronic and social media outlets.
3) Maintain the athletics web site and social media tools, keeping fans informed and generating increased fan involvement, including live stats and live streaming.
4) Ensure accurate statistics for all home games.
5) Organize direct, and staff contest event management for the functions of taking statistics.
6) Exchange sports information with other institutions with whom we compete.
7) Produce schedule cards, posters and other marketing material.
8) Work in conjunction with college's marketing department and integrate all athletics communication into the overall college marketing plan.
9) Ensure accuracy and proper branding of all athletics sports information.
10) Assist admissions with information related to athletics marketing material for prospective students.
11) Supervise the press box and assist with all aspects of home game management.
12) Arrange photography and video for all varsity teams.
13) Oversee all aspects of live streaming games.

Required Education/Experience:
1) Bachelor's degree required
2) Experience in a sports information department required.
3) Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
4) Administrative experience with a college athletic department.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
1)Knowledge of the rules and regulations of all varsity sports.
2)Knowledge of stat crew software.
3)Knowledge of presto sports website editing system.
4)Experience with live stats platforms and live streaming platforms.
5)Experience with facebook, twitter, snapchat, Instagram and other social media services.
6)Valid driver's license.
7)Willingness to travel.
8)Excellent organizational and communication skills.
