Audiologist - Faculty Opportunity
Summary of Opportunity
Temple University School of Medicine, Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery announces the search for a full time Audiologist to join our faculty. This is a growing department that practices at 4 site locations. This position may require rotations between the sites.
The selected individual will be responsible for identifying, diagnosing, treating, and monitoring hearing and balance disorders. They will perform diagnostic hearing assessments, balance function testing, dispense hearing aids and recommend amplification, assistive listening devices. The Audiologist will also educate and counsel individuals on hearing loss and hearing loss prevention. The primary scope will have a focus on adult patients, although the candidate may participate in pediatric testing rotations. In addition, the Audiologist will have teaching responsibilities for our medical students & residents. Opportunities also exist for candidates who would like to participate in research. This position is for someone interest in adult vestibular testing; VNG, cVEMP, ECochG, vHIT. Candidates with interest in supervising 3rd years and CFYs are desirable.
The Temple Head and Neck Institute specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of hearing and balance disorders—from age-related hearing loss, to chronic ear infections, to persistent episodes of vertigo and more. We offer advanced diagnostic testing and audiology evaluations to pinpoint the cause of each patient's symptoms and determine the best course of treatment.
Qualified Candidates will have obtained their Doctoral degree in Audiology (AuD/PhD). The selected candidate must be able to obtain a PA licensure for audiology. Ability to obtain ASHA CCC-A certification required. Two to three years of post-graduate experience preferred.
