Provide technical support for Murray State’s portal development, survey needs and research. This includes serving as content provider and designer for Murray State’s portals, social media, and other web-based content applications. Provide support in developing web-based tools for administration and research. Provide secondary support for instructional and academic applications such as Learning Management Systems (LMS), lecture capture, collaborative tools, etc.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field is required for this position. Two years’ experience in technology related field. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities: Provide technical support for Murray State’s portal development, survey needs and research. This includes serving as content provider and designer for Murray State’s portals, social media, and other web-based content applications. Provide support in developing web-based tools for administration and research. Work in a team environment to develop and expand the use of Murray State’s portal. Support campus users in creating and deploying survey instruments and assure adherence to University policies governing such instruments. As requested, provide backup technical support and administrative management of instructional and academic applications such as LMS, lecture capture, collaborative tools, etc. Stay abreast of new technologies impacting the campus community. Deliver specialized training as needed. Continued growth in professional and technical skills.        

Preferred: Higher education experience developing web applications and supporting instructional technologies preferred.
