The Mechanical Engineering Department at Bucknell University seeks outstanding applicants for an open-rank tenure-track faculty position starting in August 2018.

The successful candidate must have a Ph.D. in mechanical engineering or a closely related discipline at the time of appointment, and show promise for excellence in both teaching and scholarship. A candidate should be able to teach broadly across the undergraduate mechanical engineering curriculum, and possess particular expertise in the areas of heat transfer and thermodynamics. An ability and commitment to pursue an independent research program of high quality and importance is required and should be developed to encourage undergraduate participation.
