We are currently seeking a Teacher Supervisor who will advance the institution's proud tradition of excellence in academics, student life and community service.
You: You believe in the value of adult education and literacy programs that transform people's lives and help them on their journeys toward career success and a better quality of life.
Your mission: We'll rely on you to support the instructional component of the Adult Education and Literacy Program.
Your work: In this role, you'll be reviewing instructional materials and methodologies to ensure that the Adult Education curriculum is being taught appropriately. You'll also be coordinating curriculum development initiatives; supervising lead instructors, instructors and part-time teacher aides; and assigning substitute teachers as needed. Participating in interviewing and recommending prospective staff, and assigning new staff to classes and centers, will also fall within the purview of this position. In addition, you'll serve as liaison for organizations engaged in Welfare-to-Work program activities, and monitor and provide leadership to TANF, CHOICES and CBO service providers.

Bachelor's degree, Masters preferred (in Education, Counseling, Sociology, Communication or related field).
One (1) year of Adult Education experience or one (1) year of experience of working with grant funded programs.
One (1) year of supervisory experience.

Demonstrated ability to handle complex tasks and work in a fast paced environment with multiple concurrent assignments.
Ability to work with diverse populations.
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management.
Knowledge of state agency's initiatives and regulations appropriate to adult education funding, service delivery, and compliance issues.
Ability to demonstrate good communication skills, oral and written.
