Clerk II - Typist - Mineola Clinic-1702022

Required Qualifications: (As Evidenced by an Attached Resume)

High School Diploma/GED. Two (2) years of full time clerical experience in an office setting. Previous experience typing correspondence and reports. Working knowledge of Word and Excel.

Preferred Qualifications:

Additional two (2) years of clerical experience in an office setting. Two (2) years of medical office experience. Knowledge of WTC Health Program policies and procedures.

Brief Description of Duties:

S/he must have knowledge of proper grammatical usage, punctuation and spelling. S/he must have strong organizational and interpersonal skills. S/he must be detail oriented and have a professional and friendly phone manner. S/he will perform the following:

  • Type patient monitoring result letters.
  • Match results to chart.
  • Distribute charts to providers.
  • Collect charts from providers.
  • Scan templates and place on to server.
  • Print typed letters and secure provider signature.
  • Photocopy letters, file into charts and prepare letters for mailing.
  • Enter data into the appropriate logs.
  • QC letters prepared by fellow typist, insuring proper paperwork placement in the envelope prior to mailing.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
  • Special Notes: This position is located in Mineola. FLSA Nonexempt position, eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA.
