Open Rank Assistant/Associate/Professor - Sport Management
The College of Business and Administration at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS) is currently seeking applicants for an open rank (Assistant/Associate/Professor) tenure-track/tenured Professor position in Sport Management starting in August 2018.
We are looking for candidates with evidence of or the potential to develop a strong research portfolio, with an active interest in collegiate athletics and professional sports, together with the ability to teach a number of core sport management subjects. Classes in other areas may be assigned as needed. The successful candidate will be dedicated to teaching excellence in sport management at the undergraduate and potentially graduate levels. In addition, candidates will be required to enhance our collegial environment, to include service to the college, university, community, and profession. This position will require on-going scholarship sufficient to achieve and maintain AACSB "Scholarly Academic" status.

- An earned doctorate (or ABD) in sport management or a closely related field (with a focus on the business or administrative side of sport). ABD applicants must have completed all doctoral course requirements and qualifying exams and must also persuasively demonstrate that all degree requirements will be completed before the start of the fall 2018 semester.
- Prior and relevant teaching experience in sport management.
- Relevant industry experience, with preference given to candidates with experience in either collegiate athletics or professional sport administration.

- Demonstrated potential to publish in high-quality peer reviewed journals.
- Demonstrated ability and interest in working collaboratively to support the development of the UCCS sport management program including the development of a new graduate program in sport management.
