Position Description

Advertised Job Summary

This position supports and serves as the gateway for the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs. Manages clinical contracts between USC College of Nursing and community agencies; Manages, prioritizes and coordinates the Associate Deans calendar; Responsible for preparing and processing general correspondence, reports, accreditation and program review documents, and travel documents; Provides administrative support for the Student Affairs Committee and Graduate Council; Responsible for scheduling all College of Nursing courses. Master's in Business Administration preferred.

Minimum Qualifications (Classified and Unclassified positions)

Master's degree and 4 years related experience in business management, public administration, or administrative services; or Bachelor's degree and 6 years related experience in business management, public administration, or administrative services; or equivalency.

Preferred Qualifications

Prefer Master's degree.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

Knowledge of office management, skill in using Microsoft Word, Excel and Access; and ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing with faculty, staff, students, and the general public. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Ability to exercise discretion in interpreting and applying established policies and procedures. Ability to understand and carry out complex oral and written instructions. Ability to set priorities and manage details.
