Assistant/Associate Professor - Pharmacy Administration
The College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences at Western New England University invites applications for a faculty position in Pharmacy Administration at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor in the Department of Pharmaceutical and Administrative Sciences. Areas of expertise/interest may include, but are not limited to: pharmacy management, health care policy, health insurance policy, pharmacoepidemiology, health care communications, strategic & financial planning, pharmacy leadership, pharmacy delivery systems or a related discipline. This is a 12 month tenure-track appointment that offers an exciting opportunity to participate in building an integrated and innovative learner-centered academic program. The College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, which is housed in the Center for the Sciences and Pharmacy, enrolls approximately 75 professional learners per year in the four-year Pharm.D. program. The successful candidate will possess excellent interpersonal communication skills, a desire to create a culture of academic success, and an entrepreneurial spirit. The department consists of approximately 13 faculty across the various disciplines.
Candidates for this position will possess a doctorate in pharmacy administration or a terminal degree in a related discipline as identified above. Prior experience as a faculty member in higher education is extremely desirable. A B.S.Pharm. or a Pharm.D. degree would be an asset, but is not required for this position. The successful candidate will teach in the professional Pharm.D. program and will be expected to pursue research and scholarly activity along with appropriate service to the College of Pharmacy and Health Professions, University and community.
