This is a full-time (1.0 time-base), benefits eligible, permanent (probationary) position. This position is designated non-exempt under FLSA and is eligible for overtime compensation. The work schedule assigned to this position will be Monday – Friday, 3:30 p.m. to 12:00 a.m., but may vary based on operational needs.
Under general supervision from the Assistant Director of MEP Services, the Second Shift Supervisor is responsible for the operations and maintenance of the campus facilities and associated systems and equipment. Incumbent is responsible for directing the work and making individual/crew work assignments and supervising skilled, semi-skilled workers and student assistants in the performance of building system operations, maintenance, repair and alterations work. Incumbent provides comprehensive technical project leadership; acts as key liaisons with customers; coordinate job estimates; and ensure supplies and materials are available for jobs.

Compensation and Benefits
Starting salary upon appointment not expected to exceed $6,724 per month. CSU Classification Salary Range: $5,786 - $7,333 per month. Salary placement is determined by the education, experience, and qualifications the candidate brings to the position, internal equity, and the hiring department's fiscal resources.

Two years of experience working as a journey-level crafts worker in one or more building trades including one year in a lead/supervisory capacity. Must have demonstrated achievement of journey-level skills equivalent to those acquired through the completion of an applicable apprenticeship program.
Preferred Qualifications and Specialized Skills
Five years of multi-trade journey-level experience in a facilities operation with two years in a multi-trade lead or supervisory capacity.
Extensive working knowledge and hands-on experience performing corrective and preventative maintenance on a variety of HVAC mechanical, pneumatic and DDC systems.
Experience using computerized building automation system.
Experience servicing electrical equipment and electrical distribution systems.
Experience performing plumbing maintenance in a facilities operations environment.
