Position Title and Rank
The department seeks to fill two tenure system positions in health systems research. The successful applicants' interests in health services will complement the Department of Family Medicine's focus on High Reliability Healthcare. While all areas of specialization related to health services will be considered, of particular interest are provider/workforce well-being, transitions of care, patient/stakeholder involvement, integration of new technologies into care processes, health economies, and intervention evaluation.
Applicants must have a doctoral and/or an MD/DO degree with substantial experience in health systems research. In addition to opportunities to collaborate with researchers across MSU, the department is community based and offers the ability to collaborate with clinical and population health colleagues, with research opportunities across the state in rural, suburban, and urban settings. Assistant professor level requires postdoctoral training, a K-award or other evidence of preparation for success. Associate professor level applicants require significant record of scholarship and external funding.
