The Office of Undergraduate Admissions serves as a major public relations arm of the institution and helps to shape a positive image of the University through its interaction with parents, prospective students, high school and college counselors, alumni and other external agencies. This position will analyze and evaluate a student's academic credentials and make independent decisions regarding an individual's admissibility according to current University admission criteria and the UNC System requirements.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Admissions Decisions - Evaluate and analyze academic credentials.
Customer Service - Compose and respond to correspondence while explaining policy and procedures; resolve customer issues.
Recruitment - Participate in on-campus recruitment programs and interact with families.
Counseling - Determine student types and advise prospective students, applicants, families, and counsel students accordingly to process.
Other Duties as Assigned - Duties and special assignments assigned by Supervisor or Director of Undergraduate Admissions.
Bachelor's degree required.
Prefer experience in Higher Education.
