Responsibilities

Sponsored Research Administration (SRA) has central oversight responsibilities of $200 million in expenditures annually for state and federal contracts and grants. This position is responsible for project budget activation for the Compliance team as well as providing accounting system support through resolving cases.
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following areas:
Responsible for the setup and amendment of Sponsored Awards, Principal Investigator Support Accounts, SRAD distributions, and other projects as assigned.
Provide accounting system support to SRA staff regarding compliance and accounting issues. Work exception reports and help desk tickets to ensure the accuracy of financial data. Communicate with Compliance staff regarding errors/corrections of project accounting data.
Interface with ERP staff to determine the cause and resolution to accounting system compliance and accounting issues. Assist during the testing phases of the implementation of accounting system upgrades and enhancements as it relates to grants compliance.
Work with the Quality Assurance Manager on training/retraining of SRA staff on SRA procedures, accounting system procedures, and workflow. Develop SRA and accounting system user procedures as needed to support the training of staff.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and one year of experience related to the responsibilities of the position; or a combination of a high school/post-high school education and related experience equal to five years.
Experience in electronic data management systems. Experience with attention to detail. Knowledge of and ability to interpret and apply related federal, state and local laws, ordinances, rules and regulations relating to fiscal activities.

Anticipated Salary Range

The anticipated salary range for this position is $34,000 - $39,000.

Pay Plan

This is an A&P (Administrative and Professional) position.

Soft Money Funded Position

This is a soft money funded position, with renewal based on available funds and the needs of the University.

Schedule

If not otherwise specified, schedule is M-F, 8-5.
