Overview and Responsibilities

Chippewa Valley Technical College (CVTC) is establishing a pool of qualified candidates to be considered when adjunct and/or substitute instructors are needed to teach Chemistry courses. Needs may become available prior to or during each semester. Program and course information can be found at https://www.cvtc.edu/academics.aspx#programs.

Adjunct instructors are hired on a per course basis. Courses are taught face-to-face in classroom, lab, or clinical settings; online; or a combination of online and face-to-face.

All CVTC instructors are required to meet with students and/or attend meetings on-site on a regular basis. This means that all instructors, including online instructors, must live within driving distance of CVTC campuses. Campuses are located in Chippewa Falls, Eau Claire, Menomonie, Neillsville and River Falls, Wisconsin.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement effective learning strategies and environments.

  • Deliver instruction of high quality.

  • Assess student learning.

  • Advise students.

  • Maintain labs as appropriate.

  • Participate in college activities and pursue ongoing professional development.

Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, master's preferred.

  • Prior teaching or training experience preferred.
