Overview and Responsibilities
Chippewa Valley Technical College (CVTC) is establishing a pool of qualified candidates to be considered when Business & Industry Trainers are needed for InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator classes.
A Business & Industry Trainer collaborates with businesses to develop and administer customized training or professional development seminars for employees in a particular field, as needed. CVTC works with businesses throughout its 11-county district to provide valuable training designed to enhance employee skills and productivity. These training sessions are held either at one of CVTC's campuses, or at the company's location. Business & Industry training assignments offer a great deal of flexibility.

- Provide valuable training designed to enhance employee skills and productivity.

- Participate in college activities and pursue ongoing professional development.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Proficient in the use of Adobe InDesign CS5 or higher with the ability to do various tasks such as inserting and sizing graphics, adding text, creating interactive forms, and packaging work for a commercial printer.
Proficient in the use of Adobe Photoshop CS5 or higher with the ability to manipulate images for print, web and photography. Candidate can select and isolate images, work with masks and layers, and can perform basic retouching techniques and effects.
Proficient in the use of Adobe Illustrator CS5 or higher with the ability to draw shapes, lines, create text, and import graphics and pictures. Candidate is able to create basic layouts for print documents or web pages.
Knowledgeable in how Adobe products work together and complement each other to create print and web publications.
- Knowledgeable in Adobe Acrobat DC and the tools available for editing, organizing, and enhancing PDF documents. Experience in using Adobe Acrobat with various Microsoft products such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

- Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.
- Minimum of two years relevant and current occupational experience.
- Experience with packaging files for print and web use.
- Experience in marketing, design, publishing, or web design preferred.
- Prior teaching or training experience preferred.

Chippewa Valley Technical College (CVTC) is part of the Wisconsin Technical College System (WTCS) and serves an eleven-county area in west central Wisconsin.
