Assistant Professor of Music (Composition)
The Department of Music at Colgate University invites applications for a tenure-stream position in composition at the rank of Assistant Professor, beginning fall semester 2018. Completion of Ph.D. or D.M.A. is expected prior to or shortly after the date of hire.
The successful candidate must be able to teach composition, digital music studio, basic musicianship, and traditional harmony, and oversee the upkeep of Colgate’s Digital Music Studio. The successful candidate will also be expected to participate in all-university programs, including the Liberal Arts Core Curriculum.
