General Maintenance Mechanic
The General Maintenance Mechanic reports to the Chief Plant Operator. The position is responsible for all routine preventative maintenance of HVAC equipment at the Sugar Grove Campus and extension locations as needed. This includes all heating and cooling systems and it's related air handling equipment.
Maintain and monitor heating and cooling systems. To include inspection, replacement of v-belts, air filters, & grease bearings.
Assist with HVAC system trouble shooting, repairs and maintenance.
Safely maintaining chemical treatment for heating and cooling systems. Closed loops-primarily perform daily testing and make necessary operational adjustments as needed.
Perform monthly boiler safety inspections and testing.
Perform monthly fire extinguisher inspections.
Perform annual Science Building Hood air flow certification testing.
Perform basic plumbing repairs which include sinks, toilets, urinals and water fountains.
Safely troubleshoot 120,208,480 and control circuits. Perform basic electrical repairs and maintenance.
Assist mechanics as required.
Perform other duties as assigned.
