Position Summary: Teach graduate courses in both school counselor education and general counselor education curriculum. Develop and pursue a sustained research agenda resulting in publications and external funding. Participate in program initiatives, faculty decisions, and advising.

Minimum Qualifications: * Earned doctorate in Counselor Education with specialty preparation in school counseling from a CACREP accredited program (degree earned by date of hire). * Professional experience and training as a school counselor in K-12 schools. * Knowledge, skills, and training in school counseling curriculum and ability to privde clinical supervision to Master's, Ed.S., and doctoral level students. * Expertise in counselor training and supervision with ability to teach practicum and doctoral supervision. * Work experience and interest in teaching school specialty and core counseling courses * Experience and ability to teach campus and distance courses Preferred Qualifications: * Experience in teaching as a faculty member, graduate teaching assistant, or doctoral intern within a counselor education program * Willingness to coordinate the school counseling program * National Certified Counselor, NCC * A record of research productivity Responsibilities: * Teach graduate courses in both school counselor education and general counselor education curriculum. * Develop and pursue a sustained research agenda resulting in publications and external funding * Participate in program initiatives, advising, and faculty decisions Further information about the program and college is accessible at and Questions regarding this position can be directed to Dr. Joy Burnham at [email protected] Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience Starting Date: August 16, 2018 Benefits: * Health and Life Insurance * TIAA-CREF available * Teachers' Retirement System of Alabama * Summer employment available on an as needed basis Application Deadline: The review of credentials will begin immediately and will continue until the position is filled.
