Position Summary: Teach graduate courses in both school counselor education and general counselor education curriculum. Develop and pursue a sustained research agenda resulting in publications and external funding. Participate in program initiatives, faculty decisions, and advising.

Minimum Qualifications: * Earned doctorate in Counselor Education with specialty preparation in school counseling from a CACREP accredited program (degree earned by date of hire). * Professional experience and training as a school counselor in K-12 schools. * Knowledge, skills, and training in school counseling curriculum and ability to privde clinical supervision to Master's, Ed.S., and doctoral level students. * Expertise in counselor training and supervision with ability to teach practicum and doctoral supervision. * Work experience and interest in teaching school specialty and core counseling courses * Experience and ability to teach campus and distance courses Preferred Qualifications: * Experience in teaching as a faculty member, graduate teaching assistant, or doctoral intern within a counselor education program * Willingness to coordinate the school counseling program * National Certified Counselor, NCC * A record of research productivity Responsibilities: * Teach graduate courses in both school counselor education and general counselor education curriculum. * Develop and pursue a sustained research agenda resulting in publications and external funding * Participate in program initiatives, advising, and faculty decisions Further information about the program and college is accessible at www.education.ua.edu and http://education.ua.edu/academics/esprmc.
