Position Summary: Teaching in the graduate applied linguistics/TESOL program, as well as offering linguistics courses (e.g., Introduction to Linguistics) in the undergraduate curriculum. Research productivity and publication in applied linguistics. Service to department as appropriate.

Minimum Preferred Qualifications: The Department of English at The University of Alabama invites applications for a tenure-track position in Applied Linguistics at the rank of assistant professor. The successful applicant will have a PhD in linguistics or applied linguistics; an active, successful research agenda focusing on one or more of the following areas: ESL methodology, corpus and other technology-based learning/teaching; English lexis and grammar; and a record of effective teaching. The successful candidate will maintain a productive research agenda, teach in our graduate and undergraduate programs, and provide service to the department as appropriate.
