Position Summary: Responsibilities include conducting and publishing academic research in high quality journals, generating external research funding, teaching courses in the undergraduate, master's, and doctoral programs and engaging in service at a level commensurate with the level of faculty appointment.

Minimum Preferred Qualifications: The Department of Economics, Finance and Legal Studies in the Culverhouse College of Commerce at The University of Alabama invites applications for an opening for an associate or full professor in economics and/or finance beginning August 16, 2018. Primary duties include teaching at the graduate and undergraduate levels, engaging in a research program that results in articles in outstanding scholarly publications, and performing service as assigned by the Department, College, and University. Required Qualifications: (1) A doctoral degree in finance, economics or a closely related field; (2) record of high quality research published in high-quality journals consistent with appointment at associate/full professor; (3) demonstrated high-quality teaching; (4) candidates with a record of high-quality research in experimental/behavioral economics or finance. Salary and rank are commensurate with experience and achievements. Preferred Qualifications: Preference will be given to those with a track record of externally-funded research.
