Position Summary: The Department of Consumer Sciences at the University of Alabama is seeking dynamic applicants for an Assistant Professor position (Non-Tenured) in the area of Interactive Technology and Consumer Quality Management. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and graduate courses online and on campus. The department offers a Master's degree in General Human Environmental Sciences with a specialization in Interactive Technology and coursework in Consumer Quality Management. Requirements: * Teaching and service activities appropriate for the program, college and University. * Recruit, mentor, and advise undergraduate and graduate students both on campus and online, in Interactive Technology and Consumer Quality Management. * Develop and update online courses as needed. * Serve on departmental, college, and university committees.
Minimum Preferred Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications: Ph.D. or Ed.D. from a nationally accredited institution in Technology Leadership, Computer Technology Integration, Consumer Quality Management, or related field. Preferred Qualifications: * Experience in teaching both online and on campus in undergraduate and graduate classes using a Learning Management System (LMS) as the platform * Strong knowledge of the use of interactive media development tools * Ability to work as part of a team. * Experience in recruitment and program management.
