Position Summary: Responsibilities include conducting and publishing academic research in high quality journals, generating external research funding, teaching courses in the undergraduate, master's, and doctoral programs and engaging in service at a level commensurate with the level of faculty appointment.

Minimum Preferred Qualifications: The Culverhouse College of Commerce at The University of Alabama invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level in Management Information Systems (MIS) in the Department of Information Systems, Statistics, and Management Science starting August 16, 2018. Candidates must have completed a doctorate in MIS or a closely related field by the start of the appointment. Current Assistant Professors are strongly encouraged to apply. An ideal candidate should have a demonstrated capability to produce high-impact research and to excel in undergraduate and graduate teaching. Research preferences are open, but candidates whose research complements existing faculty research activity (e.g., information security, healthcare, systems development and delivery, and data science) are preferred. Candidates with teaching interests in project management, software development, data communications, information security, or data management are encouraged to apply. Applicants having relevant professional experience are preferred. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience and achievements.
