Production and Operation Manager, Michigan State University Food Processing and Innovation Center (FPIC)
The MSU Food Processing and Innovation Center(FPIC), is an operating unit of the MSU Product Center Food-Ag-Bio and is located in Okemos MI. Designed to be a leading independent production facility, the FPIC will explore and accelerate the development of new consumer products for the marketplace. Built as a ‘real time’ and fully regulatory compliant production facility, the FPIC is capable of manufacturing a wide range of food and drink products using sophisticated modern processing and packaging techniques.
The FPIC will be a leasable production plant available to businesses in the Great Lakes Region and beyond looking to explore expansion opportunities or develop new product lines. It will provide the manufacturing capabilities, industry resources, and university expertise that will allow businesses to develop the manufacturing techniques and compliance necessary to enable them to return to their facilities with the technical knowledge and practical experience to implement new product launches. While the FPIC will primarily supply processing capabilities, it will also be a hub for the food industry to engage in equipment events, technical and regulatory training, and workforce development.
