The Department of Pharmacotherapy and Translational Research (PTR) invites applications for the position of Head of the newly created Division of Community-based Pharmacotherapy. The position is a full-time, 12-month, non-tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Clinical Associate or full Professor. The division is the largest of three divisions and currently includes 25 faculty.
The Division Head is expected to provide vision, strategic direction, and management for a Division within the overall structure of the PTR Department. Division Heads carry personnel responsibilities for faculty as delegated by the PTR Chair and report directly to the PTR Chair. The Division Head, working collaboratively with other Division Heads, is responsible for a wide-range of matters including professional education and support of scholarship / research growth. The Division Head represents the Division, both internally and externally, to the various stakeholders who share the Division’s focus. The Division Head also serves as part of the PTR Department administrative team through active participation in various Department planning, implementation and evaluation activities.

The applicant is expected to have a doctoral degree (e.g. Pharm.D., Ph.D.). Other requirements include a strong record of accomplishments in scholarship. Excellent communication skills are essential. Appointment as a Clinical Professor requires research/scholarship and teaching proficiency that are consistent with appointment to that rank at a research-intensive university.Preferred Qualifications:
Previous teaching experience, formal post-doctoral research training, strong record of accomplishment in research/scholarship, and experience in mentoring students is preferred.Special Instructions to Applicants:
