General Summary: The University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for a Part Time Group Exercise Instructor. Instructors will facilitate and lead a group exercise class or classes for up to 30 participants. The instructor is expected to apply appropriate progressions and modifications based upon student needs and abilities.

Job Duties & Responsibilities: The Part Time Group Exercise Instructor will:
  • Organize and actively promote specific group exercise offerings
  • Teach or lead the planned exercise classes
  • Stay current on all related certifications
  • Encourage and assist participants with their performance of the movements related to the exercise
  • Train any class leader assistants
  • Offer suggestions and set goals for the program from year to year


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Applicants must have knowledge of proper exercise progressions, techniques, and human movement


Certifications/Licenses & Minimum Requirements:
  • High School Diploma required.
  • One year prior group instruction training or experience.
  • Certification in Group Exercise Instruction or related discipline preferred. CPR/First Aid Required within one month of employment.
