Degree and Area of Specialization:

Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Public Health or a related field. Advanced degree or equivalent experience is desirable.



Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:

Two years of professional experience building community capacity to advance health and health equity at the state or local level is required.

Experience successfully engaging with learning communities to achieve local community health improvement agendas is preferred.

Specialization in leadership development and community capacity building is preferred.



Position Summary:

The Healthy Wisconsin Leadership Institute (based in the UW Population Health Institute in the Department of Population Health Sciences) is seeking an Outreach Specialist to provide community coaching and provide program management for the Community Teams Program. This position works collaboratively with a team of colleagues in the Mobilizing Action Toward Community Health (MATCH) unit in the Population Health Institute to support local and statewide agendas to advance community health and health equity.



Additional Information:

Travel to multiple locations around the state of Wisconsin is required. Some evening and weekend work may be required.

Position will ideally be staffed at 100% FTE but the program is willing to negotiate an FTE between 50% and 100%.

Title prefix level will be determined based on candidate qualifications.
