Nature of Work:
The Residence Life Coordinator is a 12-month, live-on professional who provides developmental leadership for the graduate and undergraduate staff in an area of campus housing 400-600 residents. The person will manage the daily operations of a residential community including facilities, overall resident management, occupancy management, financial budget management to ensure a positive, healthy and safe living-learning environment for our residents in support of the campus mission.
Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred. Required: Supervision experience; Multiple administrative task management experience; Project management; Marketing experience a plus. Preferred Requirements: Master’s degree in College Student Development or related field preferred; 3 or more years of related work experience; knowledge of student development theory; organization and human relations skills; knowledgeable in laws governing housing accommodations including, but not limited to, FERPA, ADA, Title IX, etc.; proficient in the use of data management applications; excellent written and oral expression abilities; strong deductive and inductive reasoning abilities; demonstrated technical literacy including database management skills; ability to diplomatically handle difficult or urgent matters in a confident and proficient manner; ability to foster and promote an integrated team approach; successful completion of background investigation prior to employment.
Salary $16.15 minimum - $19.99 midpoint
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:
Ability to navigate multi-floored Residence Hall in a reasonable manner to lead crisis response efforts as well as normal day-to-day demands.
