General Description of Position: The Kansas State Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory with the College of Veterinary Medicine is seeking applicants for a Project Assistant. This position is essential to ensuring a culture of Quality into Kansas State Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory (KSVDL) by assisting the Quality Managers as well as KSVDL lab sections with document formatting and computer support as a new electronic quality management system (Q Pulse) is implemented. The university actively seeks candidates whose commitments and contributions will advance the University's commitment to the Principles of Community.  Job Description: - Assist both of the Quality Managers as well as KSVDL lab sections in reformatting current Standard Operating Procedures, work instructions, forms, worksheets, and logs to our new electronic format

- Assist with compiling other supporting documents such as: position descriptions, training logs, training certificates, reagent logs, certificate of analysis for reagents, SDS sheets, equipment logs, equipment maintenance reports, calibration records, CARs, PARS, audit reports, management review reports, and other quality records for uploading into the system 

- Upload all archived documents (SOPs, work instruction, forms, worksheets, training records, maintenance records, equipment records, logs, reagent records, internal audit reports, external audit reports, CARs, PARs, etc.) into the electronic system

Required Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma 
  • One year of relevant experience 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Highly proficient computer skills including databases, spreadsheets, word processing and data entry
  • Excellent written and oral, interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
