Position Summary

The role of the Young Adult Team Member is part of the Juvenile Justice Behavioral Health (JJBH) initiative within UNCG's Center for Youth, Family, and Community Partnerships. The position will work with team members and communities to assist with implementation of trainings on cultural competence and disparities by: providing a young adult voice, assist with trainings, development of trainings, and assist with the development of final resource materials.

This position also will assist in the creation, design, and facilitation of a Youth Advisory Council and its meetings, as well as work with local teams on their implementation plans for cultural competence and addressing disparities, and present progress and outcomes to local and state level team members.

Travel within NC will be required. Mileage will be reimbursed per UNCG travel policy.
May require a writing sample.



Minimum Qualifications

Lived experience within Behavioral Health, Substance Abuse, or Juvenile Justice systems;
Some college level experience;
High School Diploma;
Good writing skills;
Age range from 18-30



Preferred Qualifications

Lived experience within the Juvenile Justice systems;
Experience working with groups;
Experience facilitating meetings and training groups;
Ability to be a team member and plan collaboratively
