The Associate Director, Digital Communications will be responsible for creating, implementing, and evaluating the digital communications strategy for Temple University's Institutional Advancement (IA) websites ( and ) and associated digital properties. Reporting to the Director of Development Communications, the Associate Director will plan for future digital enhancements for continuous improvement, staying current on Web and accessibility standards and analyzing comparable higher education websites to identify trends and best practices. He / she will also monitor Temple's IA websites in a proactive manner to ensure that all aspects of the sites are technically complete and meet all functional and university branding specifications.

The Associate Director will oversee all IA digital communications requests, including event registration pages, new Web pages, website edits, custom giving URLs, giving form updates, and more using the iModules content management system. He / she will be responsible for all site builds on the Giving and Alumni domains to support IA's signature events and campaigns, including Homecoming, Alumni Weekend, Global Days of Service, Temple Toast, OwlCrowd and more.

Required Education & Experience:

A Bachelor's degree in Marketing / Communications, with an emphasis on digital communications. Minimum four (4) years relevant experience. Experience with Web CMS technologies (i.e., iModules, Drupal, WordPress). An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Required Skills & Abilities:

*Proficient in Adobe Photoshop, HTML, CSS and JavaScript

*Strong understanding of database management systems

*Working knowledge of CMS Web design, data analytics and search engine optimization (SEO)

*Basic understanding of database integration techniques, such as Web services, for use with *Web and mobile content delivery

*Strong project management skills

*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (must be able to build strong working relationships across IA and with iModules vendor)

*Able to work individually and in a collaborative team environment

*Team player with a positive, can-do attitude and passion for work

*Knowledge of the latest Web and accessibility standards
