This position is located in the Industrial Operations Management Department, Production Planning Division, Fleet Readiness Center East (FRC-East), Cherry Point, NC. The selectee will serve as the principal member of the Technology Insertion Program. Selectee will provide development and guidance to programs and projects often involving use of infant and evolving technologies and containing combinations of unusual features for which no precedents or standards exist. Project examples include advanced machining/manufacturing concepts, additive manufacturing (both metal and polymer), Model Based Definition integration, cold spray and other advanced repair techniques, and equipment tracking concepts.

- Serve as the primary engineering consultant on new technology to the Industrial Production Planning Division, Industrial Operations Management Department, Cherry Point and the chain of command.

- Formulate, prepare, present, defend, maintain and manage current and long-range programs for technology insertion.

- Review special funded projects to determine conformance with sponsor requirements, project scope and funding limitations.

- Develop, implement and maintain the Industrial Production Planning Division Software Quality Assurance (SQA).

- Design, modify, apply and maintain test stand hardware and software for existing and new test stand systems.

- Identify opportunities to modernize the plant with automated or electronic systems and function as the project engineer on projects related to automated and electronic systems and equipment.
