Job Description

• Report time in accordance with WayPoint time keeping standards

• Construction documents and scope letters

• Understanding of 120vac/240vac

• Understanding of 277vac/480vac

• Understanding of 24vac/24vdc/4-20ma

• Wire color for phase requirements

• Wire size requirements for amperage

• Ability to perform troubleshooting applications to communication problems and knowledge of relay logic troubleshooting

• Ability to communicate job-related issues with foreman, manager, and PM

• Willingness to work weekends or after hours


• Be able to install conduit with proper layout

• Knowledge of proper installation practices and techniques

• Be able to bend conduit and teach others how to

• Be able to terminate AHU, VAV, and PIU

• Ability to train a helper/installer 3 and installer 2

• Ability to lead and direct a helper on the job site

• Ability to manage materials and order materials through our suppliers

• Ability to fill out daily job reports

• Ability to keep up with redline drawings

• Ability to layout wire pulls and label wire pulls according to prints

• Knowledge of how to use meters and oscilloscope proficiently

• Ability to read and understand mechanical prints for layout of devices and thermostat wires

• Check in with general contractors and our mechanical contractor


• Knowledge of ladder safety

• Knowledge of power tool safe use practices

• Knowledge of proper hand tool use and safety

• OSHA 10 certified

• Lift certified

• CPR certified

• Lead job specific tool box topic safety meetings

• Fill out job safety forms and pre-task plan


• Learn Envision and Niagara to help in checkout

• Learn what types of controllers and the uses for each

• Learn the use of computer-based systems for job-related efficiency

• Learn the use of oscilloscope with computer for troubleshooting problems

• Learn troubleshooting best practices


• Clean driving record and valid driver's license.

• Pass a drug test and background screening.
