Job Summary The Coordinator, as supervisor of the Office of Pre-Professional Advising (i.e., Pre-Health and Pre-Law), will lead, direct, and implement Pre-Health and Pre-Law advising and services for current students and alumni who want to pursue post-graduate opportunities in the law and in health professions, with a specific focus on gaining entrance to law school, medical school, dental school, and allied health professional schools. The Coordinator will also develop and deliver a broad range of services to support undergraduates and alumni preparing to enter these professions. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: * Supervising and evaluating the activities of the office, recruiting and supervising its staff, and administering its day-to-day operations * Creating and implementing Pre-Professional events such as the Law Fair and the Health Fair * Coordinating and delivering programs, speakers and workshops for Pre-Professional students * Observing advisors in the office, conducting performance evaluations, and hiring and training new advisors as needed * Overseeing the office's portal and/or website * Data tracking and assessment * Preparing reports and publications * Identifying and applying for external funding where appropriate * Consulting with professional schools to keep abreast of changes in the admissions process. The Coordinator must be a highly organized, collaborative individual who works well within a team model and has a demonstrated commitment to working effectively with students, advisors, faculty, and career consultants across campus. Previous experience in working with students and excellent oral, written, presentation, and communication skills are required. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business or related field and four years management experience; OR eight (8) years related management experience; OR equivalent combination of experience, training and/or education.
