Department Overview
**This position is open only to internal candidates in the Admissions Department.**

The Office of Admissions is a vital contributor to the enrollment success at the University of North Texas through student outreach, recruitment endeavors and a commitment to providing personalized assistance to students throughout the college application and admissions process.

Job Description
The Admissions Department at the University of North Texas is seeking to hire an Assistant Director II to join our team. Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:

* Directly supervises the day-to-day operations of the High School Credential and College Credential Processing areas by setting priorities of functions.
* Develops procedures to increase productivity.
* Supervises subordinates in following university policy in both academic procedure and Human Resources directives.
* Serves as International Liaison between the Office of Admissions and other departments across campus.
* Hires, trains and supervises 2 FTE positions.
* Indirectly supervises 6 other FTE's, 1 part-time and 4 student employees.
* Stays current on all admissions policies and procedures, making sure deadlines are communicated and met.
* Maintains solid relationships across campus.

Minimum Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree in related field and four years of professional related experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Preferred Qualifications
The preferred candidate will possess the following additional qualifications:

* Four years' experience in Admissions or other related student service.
* Previous supervisory experience.
* Thorough knowledge of international transcripts and document processing.
* Thorough knowledge of University policies and procedures related to functional area (or ability to rapidly assimilate).
*Ability to plan and conceptualize and make sound business decisions
* Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
* Ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations both verbally and in writing.
* Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships.
* Experience with Microsoft Office products.
* Ability to work independently.
