The Counseling Center Administrative Support Associate is responsible for managing all tasks associated with the Counseling Center front desk/reception, including but not limited to patient scheduling, check-in and check-out, customer service, providing documentation for students regarding treatment in the clinic, Health Information Management of clinical records, including scanning clinic records into the Electronic Health Record, and creating and managing clinic and clinician schedules. This position functions as a member of an active work team (consisting of 13 therapists, the Director and Assistant Director, The Spartan Recovery Program, 2.5 Administrative Support Associates, 3 Trainess and 2 Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners) with cross-training in, and responsibility for, other CC administrative functions. This position requires efficient organization skills, knowledge of basic mental health information management conventions, an ability to work with a diverse group of people with varying knowledge and understanding of counseling, compassionate communication skills as required to deal with students in distress, and an ability to respond proactively within a growing, dynamic, ever-changing work environment.
HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA OR EQUIVALENCY; OR DEMONSTRATED POSSESSION OF THE COMPETENCIES NECESSARY TO PERFORM THE WORK.
2-3 years office experience working in a University setting.
