Reporting to the Director of Annual Giving, the Assistant Director of Annual Giving for Parents Program is part of a team, which provides support and leadership to the College’s annual giving program (unrestricted giving) as it supports and drives the mission of the College and the strategic plan for the Office of Development and Alumni Relations. The Assistant Director of Annual Giving for Parents Program is responsible for developing and implementing a strategic and comprehensive program to engage, solicit and steward parents. This includes a strategic plan for fundraising production from parents, prospect management and travel to ask directly for Annual Giving Leadership gifts, partnership with Alumni Relations and Donor Relations for events and stewardship opportunities, development of a Parents Committee, and the ability to collaborate with campus offices that have intersections with parents (Residence Life, Communications Office, etc.)

This is a term position with an end date of June 30, 2021.

This position requires a bachelor’s degree and one year of experience in relationship management, external relations, or non-profit annual/major giving fundraising. The ideal candidate will also demonstrate well-developed communication, planning and organizational skills, experience in organizing and motivating volunteers, and a strategic, goal-oriented approach to work. The successful candidate must demonstrate a willingness to attend evening programs and meetings and to travel for alumni engagement one-on-one meetings, events, conferences, etc. A valid driver’s license is required.
