Responsibilities:

The Director of Technology, Enterprise Data Sharing will help Northeastern create a culture in which data is shared across and throughout the organization in a way that enables us to enhance relationships with all constituents.

The Director will analyze the current state of data sharing and coordinate among campus units and committees around issues that touch on this topic, including admissions, student services, the registrar, etc. S/he will work closely with operational units to strategize solutions that support short- and long-term university objectives. S/he will benchmark, both within higher education and in corporations, best practices to enhance enterprise data sharing.

S/he will analyze, design, and implement improved operational capacities, develop and execute work plans, and provide solutions to complex business problems. The Director will act as a liaison between Advancement and developers, project managers, and vendors. S/he will also work closely with Information Technology Services to help create an IT infrastructure to support data sharing.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree required; 7+ years progressively responsible experience in information technology/management, preferably in higher education, and with exposure to admissions, advancement, student, and alumni data; ); skill in managing multiple constituencies toward a common goal; knowledge of CRMs; excellent project management skills; negotiation, analytic, information-gathering, organizational, research, and communications (written and oral high level of self-confidence, creativity, enthusiasm, engagement, self-motivation, and energy to undertake diverse responsibilities; patience and maturity; enjoyment in meeting and relating to people; ability to solve problems; exemplary ethical standards and belief in the mission of private higher education.
