The College of New Jersey’s Center for American Language & Culture is seeking ESL adjunct instructors to teach in a language and culture immersion program for international students and non-native speakers of English for Academic ESL courses. The courses emphasize academic reading and writing, as well as other college success skills for a rigorous academic program that requires listening to complex lectures and working in collaborative teams.

Minimum Requirements: MA in any liberal arts field or education with a humanities focus, 18 graduate credits in TESOL, and 1 year of experience teaching ESL or writing at the high school or college level.

Preferred Qualifications: MA in TESOL, Applied Linguistics, or related field; 2 or more years of experience teaching ESL or writing at the college level; and familiarity with the ACTFL Proficiency Guidelines or TOEFL/IELTS rating criteria.
